Ariana Grande is a pop music icon renowned for her unique sound and style. One of the most impressive aspects of her work is her creative use of sampling, which she uses to create new layers of sound in her music. Sampling is the process of taking a snippet of sound from a pre-existing recording and incorporating it into a new piece of music. Grande has made extensive use of it to add depth to her songs and create a unique soundscape. For example, in her hit single “7 Rings”, she samples “My Favorite Things” from the 1959 musical “The Sound of Music”. In “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored”, she samples the backing track from the classic track “Girlfriend” by the band Phoenix. Grande also uses sampling to add references to her music. In her song “God is a Woman”, she samples a line from the 1992 film “The Bodyguard”, which highlights the empowering message of the song. In “Breathin”, she samples the classic track “My Love” by Justin Timberlake, adding a nostalgic element to the song. Grande’s creative use of sampling helps her stand out from other artists and makes her music instantly recognizable. Through her use of sampling, she is able to create unique sounds and add references to her songs, creating an immersive listening experience for her fans.

Ariana Grande’s latest album, Positions, explores the different facets of relationships, and the accompanying artwork is a visually striking representation of this theme. The album artwork was designed by artist, designer, and director Hyan Yoo, and it features Grande in a pink and blue dress, her head surrounded by clouds. The colors of the dress are significant, as they symbolize femininity and masculinity, respectively. The clouds represent the uncertainty of relationships and the idea that they can change over time. The pose of Grande in the artwork is also notable, as her body is in a triangle shape. This is a reference to the “Law of Three” in tarot card readings, which states that all things happen in threes.
